It's not where we started back in 1995, but increasingly the private sector is turning to us for training as companies realise that professional development doesn't need to cost a fortune. In fact our first private sector client thought we'd missed a nought off the end of our quote because they were used to paying an eye-watering 10 times as much to another provider. Needless to say we didn't add the nought but we did add them to our client list. And they're still using us years later!
The training we deliver to the private sector is varied but includes our range of dealing with difficult people courses, media training and communication courses such as presentatation skills given the central role communication has in businesses of all sorts.
Our private sector clients work with us in two main ways. The bigger ones ask us to tailor our courses to their specific organisational needs and deliver the training in-house. But SMEs with only a few people to train find the most cost-effective way is to send their staff to our open, public workshops.
