A well written press release can get you, your product or service in the editorial media for free. But how you actually write that news release can make the difference between success and failure.
So this workshop has been designed (and updated for the social media world) to help hone the perfect news release. It's aimed at anyone who'd like a bit of publicity for their business, charity or organisation but can't afford advertising or the services of an expensive PR company. Don't worry if you've never written a press release before. This course is also for those who've already written quite a few news releases but want to improve their hit rate.
CONTENT
In this workshop we'll help you understand what makes news so that you can significantly increase the chance of your releases getting published or broadcast. We'll show you:
We'll even help you unlock the power of the pyramids - not the Egyptian Pyramids - but the triangle template used to write news stories.
FACILITATOR
Richard Uridge has thrown away, deleted and defaced literally thousands of press releases in his 35 years as a journalist. It's taught him what makes a bad one. And he knows what makes a good one too.
