So this workshop has been designed (and updated for the social media world) to help hone the perfect news release. It's aimed at anyone who'd like a bit of publicity for their business, charity or organisation but can't afford advertising or the services of an expensive PR company. Don't worry if you've never written a press release before. This course is also for those who've already written quite a few news releases but want to improve their hit rate.


In this workshop we'll help you understand what makes news so that you can significantly increase the chance of your releases getting published or broadcast. We'll show you:

  • How to think like a hack and write like a hack;
  • Why oven ready is best if not for chicken then for press releases;
  • How to send them, where to send them and when to send them - all factors critical to success.

We'll even help you unlock the power of the pyramids - not the Egyptian Pyramids - but the triangle template used to write news stories.
