With thousands of team members still working remotely for the foreseeable future, line managers face a period of unparalleled stress, uncertainty and tough decision-making, where they also need to continually adjust themselves to the management of their remote teams. In order to support you during these challenging days, we have developed this four-hour virtual training course, with a break in between, for a maximum of 10 delegates. You can either book to join one of our 'open' courses, where individuals, from different organisations can attend, or you can book an 'in-house' course for your own group of managers.
Through practical exercises, whole discussions, small group breakouts, case study, mind- mapping and the use of templates and other useful learning materials, the following topics should be covered by the end of the course:
• Establishing small group and ‘huddle’ larger group remote meeting etiquette
• Dealing effectively with the different behaviours of non-engagement, ‘out of sight/out
of mind’ social loafing, the tumbleweed moments
• Using an array of different questioning techniques to engage everyone ‘attending’ virtual meetings
• Communicating and creating engagement through technology, a range of interactive activities that encourage engagement from each team member
• Helping team members to readjust to working from home for an extended period
• Finding the balance between trust and control
• Staying visible when working remotely
• Evaluating your team and creating motivation and a development strategy to fit this challenging period - especially now that the team is working virtually
• Delegating and empowering each team member to reach your team and organisational goals, aims and objectives
• Managing and leading multiple teams with competing goals and priorities
• Creating a sense of community without physical presence and with divided loyalties
• Working remotely across different cultures – now that everyone is effectively working remotely from their ‘own’ office style
• Managing, accommodating and organising work around different work-time preferences
We're sorry, the course you’ve chosen isn’t running as an open workshop at the moment but you can either register your interest and we’ll let you know when it’s back on, or ask to have it delivered in-house (see below).
If you have more than a few staff to train, want to tailor the content to your exact organisational needs, prefer the privacy of one-to-one training, or simply want the flexibility of choosing a date and, for our face-to-face workshops, venue that suits you, then this is a great and, in most cases, cost-effective alternative to our public sessions.

"An excellent course that was very well presented by a trainer who was clearly experienced in his field and put his message across in a relaxed and good humoured manner. Thank you."
