AIMED AT
This workshop is aimed at delegates who want to learn how to produce and broadcast video podcasts [vodcasts] in a cost-effective and timely manner. If you are looking for an innovative way to use videos to pre-sell your product, service or idea online, then this practical workshop is ideal. Just imagine the value of having visitors to your site viewing and playing your video, where you can explain who you are, what you do and most importantly, the benefits your organisation can deliver. It’s probably 100 times more effective than reading text on the internet, and much more persuasive than listening to audio.
PLEASE NOTE
We highly recommend that you complete our podcast training course first, as we concentrate on video productions skills, only, and not on the other techniques of podcasting, which we focus on in our Perfect Podcasts workshop.
CONTENT Through the demonstration of the basic elements required to produce vodcasts, including microphones, video recording/editing software, mixers and soundcards, together with step-by-step explanations and plenty of examples, this workshop will help delegates produce and publicise their own professional sounding Vodcasts to syndicate with the Internet community.
OBJECTIVES By the end of this practical one-day workshop, delegates should be able to shoot, share and spread their Vodcast by learning how to: · Research audience needs · Choose the right camera equipment · Shoot steady, well lit images and recording clear audio · Conduct interviews, gather VOX pops · Write short, punchy scripts · Edit their video, shrink it down and upload to the Net · Embed their video online · Broadcast their video via an RSS feed · Spread their video, via websites, video Podcast directories · Monitor their Vodcast success WORKSHOP FACILITATOR Your facilitator will be the BBC broadcaster, Richard Uridge. With a wealth of experience in presentation, journalism, production & direction, training & consultancy, Richard has been leading our Media and Communication workshops for the past 15 years.
