In-house delivery
Duration: 1 day/10am-4.30pm
Max number of participants: 8

AIM

This workshop is aimed at delegates who are interested in developing effective PowerPoint presentation. The workshop will provide ample opportunities for participants to research topics of their own choosing and to develop an engaging and interesting PowerPoint presentation. Delegates are asked to bring along a brief [no more than 10 minutes] PowerPoint presentation which has been recently used, if they have one. By the end of the day, each delegate will be given an opportunity to develop and deliver a present to the group, whereupon feedback will be given and practical ways in which to improve.

LAPTOP

If you have access to a laptop, please feel free to bring this along with you.

OBJECTIVES

By the end of this practical workshop delegates will be able to create, customise, animate, and print presentations, by covering the following topics:

  • Understand the strengths and weaknesses of PowerPoint
  • Learn to use PowerPoint to tap into the way adults learn, take in information and are motivated
  • Prepare PowerPoint presentations to suit different audiences and purposes
  • Identify when and where PowerPoint should be used
  • Create compelling, engaging and dynamic PowerPoint presentations
  • Appropriate use of fonts, colour, animation and music
  • Develop slides with an awareness of clarity, interest and content
  • Using storyboards and the three Ps to build on individual presentation strengths
  • Effective structuring of PowerPoint presentations
