AIMED AT

This workshop is aimed at those whi might know what a Podcast is, but who want to better understand how to create their own Podcast to market the organisation or business, educate a community, share an opinion or just to have fun. This practical workshop is aimed at those who want to create a podcast, using it as a simple and effective method to get a message across to thousands of people who may either visit your business or personal website or a dedicated podcasting site.

CONTENT

Through the demonstration of the basic elements required to produce a Podcast, including microphones, audio recording/editing software, mixers and soundcards, together with step-by-step explanations and plenty of examples, this workshop will help delegates produce and publicise their own professional sounding Podcasts to syndicate with the Internet community.  By the end of this practical one-day workshop, delegates should be able to:

·          Plan their podcast material

·          Research audience needs, gather material and write scripts

·          Record and edit their audio

·          Use graphics and underlay video

·          Save it to an .mp4 file

·          Create an RSS file which holds the “directions” for sending the file when a user’s programme requests it

·          Upload the RSS “feed” and the .mp3 or .mp4file

·          Validate that the file is written correctly and will send the file correctly
